Description

Intradiscal Endoscopic Nucleus Therapy with intENTS

intENTS Lumbar and Cervical are two intradiscal endoscopic nucleus instrument sets used for minimally-invasive treatment of nerve compressions and discogenic pain. Access is via the Seldinger technique: The cannulated instruments are inserted via a guide wire. The therapy is carried out through a guiding tube and the nucleoscope shaft. intENTS is a small instrument set for minimally-invasive intradiscal treatment of disc protrusions, smaller herniated discs and discogenic pain, generally attributable to annular fissures. For this, instruments are introduced via an endoscope shaft directly into the disc.

intENTS Lumbar

The straight biopsy forceps can be inserted both through the green guiding tube (working diameter 3.8 mm) and the nucleoscope shaft (working diameter 4.0 mm); the flexible forceps can only be inserted through the nucleoscope shaft however, due to their curve. Nucleoscope, nucleoscope shaft and obturator are available as options. Brackets for them are already included in the intENTS Lumbar instrument tray.

intENTS Cervical

Access is ventral using a cervical surgical system. The instruments are inserted according to indication and the location of the pathology (invertebral disc protusion or annular fissure). Access can be by gradual dilation (recommended under local anesthesia) or direct with the nucleoscope shaft (working diameter 2.8 mm).
